The main thing that sets Prime World apart from other games in the genre is the talent system. This system is the foundation on which the rest of Prime World's gameplay has been built.

In other MOBA-type games, there are a few popular strategies for developing each hero: what to buy or equip and the order in which you develop your skills. Although all characters have access to all the items in the store from the very beginning, in practice there are a lot of items that serve no purpose at all and are just not worth purchasing. This makes it very difficult for new players to start playing the game and prevents experienced player from further developing their tactical skills.

In Prime World, there are no stat developing items in the store at all, just consumable goods. So, instead of items, every hero has talents, which can provide passive bonuses or active skills, and can be either particular to certain types of characters or common to all players (for example teleportation and healing).

Talents are permanent and are learned by heroes in the Castle after being unlocked with Prime during a battle. Since every hero has a standard set of talents at his or her disposal, new players cannot accidentally waste money in the store on things they do not need. Instead, they unlock talents from the basic set, which is sufficiently balanced. On the other hand, experienced players who have acquired talents in battle can use them to make major changes to their characters.

Talents are distributed by level in such a way that it is enough to unlock two thirds of them in battle. A balanced build can support two basic play styles per character and in case of various unexpected developments, a third for specialization—this is usually unique skills for the specific hero.

Unlocking a talent during a match increases the character's level by one (a few talents give two levels; this is listed in their descriptions), which also leads to an increase of his or her basic attributes. The player can choose between leveling up quickly by acquiring inexpensive and less powerful talents or by saving Prime early in the game to get more expensive talents at lower levels.

There are two ways to obtain new talents; through crafting them using the prime crystals obtained in the production buildings or by fighting in the Borderlands. Either way, the talents you obtain are random, but the higher the level of the building or the Hero, the better talents you can get.

Holiday Talents[edit | edit source]

These talents are only available in special occasions during holidays.

  • 243.png Ice Resistance V: Each enemy attacking the hero receives 15 damage and, for 2 seconds., loses 20% Speed. When used on an enemy hero, the talent is restored in 1 seconds. This talent was first introduced with the "New Year 2012-2013" event.
  • 244.png Deathly Phantom III: Upon activation, this talent summons a phantom that runs with increasing speed to the nearest enemy hero for 3 seconds and then explodes, dealing 260/275/290 EnergyDamage.png damage to all nearby enemies. This talent was first introduced with the "Halloween 2012" event.
  • 250.png Force of Mind I: The hero receives 4,2 Strength or 4,2 Intellect, depending on which of the hero's two stats is higher. This talent was first introduced with the "Day of Knowledge 2012" event.
  • 321.png Medal of a Champion I: The hero restores 350 Health for killing an enemy hero or support. This talent was first introduced with the "Winter Competition 2014" event in honor of the Winter Olympic Games 2014.

Available only when your castle has reached level 15, they are available at the Imperium logo.pngTalent Forge or the Keeper logo.pngTalent Garden. Heroes have a chance to get rewarded with these exclusive talents.

TTkit.png Dark Heritage[edit | edit source]

Set created for the introduction of the hero Vampire/Dahaka, on February 19, 2013 with patch 9.7. These talents were made Talent Forge/Talent Garden exclusive in Patch 10.1.

The Secret of Immortality[edit | edit source]

With the full set, if your Hero dies, after 3 seconds it will respawn at the place of death with 750 Health. Cooldown: 240 seconds.

The Will of the Patriarch[edit | edit source]

With the full set, the talent "Inner Core" will turn into an Active: When you use it the targeted hero will move foward, destroying any trees in it's path. Cooldown: 80 seconds.

Debilitating Touch[edit | edit source]

With the full set, your hero's attack will have a 13% chance to stun the enemy for 0.4 seconds. Cooldown: 1 seconds.

Nocturnal Hunter[edit | edit source]

With the full set, the talent "Flexible Solutions" will turn into an Active: When used, it will teleport your hero to the selected location for 5% of their maximum Health. Cooldown: 80 seconds.

Reflection of Essence[edit | edit source]

Creates a special barrier for 6 seconds. Enemies which cross the barrier are stunned for 0.4 seconds, whereas heroes with set talents spawn their doubles for 15 seconds. The double's statistics depend on the hero who spawns it, but its Strength and Intellect are 3 times lower and it takes 3 times more damage. Cooldown: 120 seconds.

Dark Message[edit | edit source]

Battle: Using a class talent accumulates a charge for every 100 units of its basic cost in Energy or Health. The effect can be stacked up to 5 times. All charges are expended upon activation, and the target takes 40 basic damage for each charge used. 5 seconds.

  • Omen : Omen can be upgraded by three talents from the Omen Set.

Talent Master Sets[edit | edit source]

The sets consists of 5 active talents. The remaining talents are passive. However, learning them adds additional effect to the active talents. The number of upgrades is limited, but players are free to select any combination of talents and upgrades they want. This means that players will be able to create talents to fit their own unique play styles.

If a hero has more upgrades than can be applied to the talent being improved, the upgrades that were learned first are the ones that will end up taking effect.

Chance's Edge Set[edit | edit source]

  • 349.png Chance's Edge II: Cooldown 180 sec. Restores 250 Health if the damage inflicted by the hero is more than 15% of his current Health. Can be upgraded with two talents from the Chance's Edge set.
  • 354.png Chance's Shadow II: +160 Health. If the hero has the Chance's Edge talent, he will become invisible for three seconds when the talent is activated.
  • 355.png Chance's Favor IV: +70 Health. +8.5 Strength or Intellect (whichever is higher). If the hero has the Chance's Edge talent, he will regain an additional 150 Health when the talent is activated.
  • 356.png Chance's Blessing V: +150 Health. +10 Stamina. If the hero has the Chance's Edge talent, the most dangerous negative effect will be removed when the talent is activated.
  • 357.png Chance's Will V: +150 Health. +10 Will. If the hero has the Chance's Edge talent, the most dangerous negative effect will be removed when the talent is activated.

Curse of Curses Set[edit | edit source]

  • 350.png Curse of Curses III: Cooldown 150 sec. When activated, inflicts 250 damage on all nearby enemies. Can be upgraded with two talents from the Curse of Curses set.
  • 360.png Curse of Pain IV: +5 Agility. -6% Cooldown Time. If the hero has the Curse of Curses talent, it will inflict an additional 120 damage.
  • 359.png Curse of Sloth III: +9 Stamina or Will (whichever is higher). If the hero has the Curse of Curses talent, it will slow down affected enemies by 70% for 1 second when used.
  • 358.png Curse of Blood I: +4.5 Strength or Intellect (whichever is higher). If the hero has the Curse of Curses talent, it will reduce enemy Health regeneration by an additional 50% for 4 seconds.
  • 361.png Curse of Quarrel VI: +11 Agility or Cunning (whichever is higher). +11 Stamina or Will (whichever is higher). If the hero has the Curse of Curses talent, it will force all affected enemies to attack the hero for 0.7 seconds.

  • 351.png Sense of Moment IV: +7 Base Speed. Cooldown 180 sec. When activated, the hero receives a shield that absorbs up to 250 damage for 5 seconds. Can be upgraded with two talents from the Sense of Moment set.
  • 362.png Moment of Strength II: +6.4 Strength. If the hero has the Sense of Moment talent, it will increase the hero's Strength by 20 when active.
  • 363.png Moment of Intellect II: +6.4 Intellect. If the hero has the Sense of Moment talent, it will increase the hero's Intellect by 20 when active.
  • 364.png Moment of Speed III: +4.4 Strength or Intellect (whichever is higher). +140 Health. If the hero has the Sense of Moment talent, it will make the hero 35% faster for 3 seconds when activated.
  • 366.png Moment of Spirit V: +10 Strength or Intellect +6 Stamina. If the hero has the Sense of Moment talent, it will reduce the amount of magic damage taken by the hero by 60% when active.
  • 365.png Moment of Body V: +10 Strength or Intellect +6 Will. If the hero has the Sense of Moment talent, it will reduce the amount of physical damage taken by the hero by 60% when active.

Punisher's Path Set[edit | edit source]

  • 352.png Punisher's Path IV: Cooldown 120 sec. When activated, inflicts 310 physical or magical damage on the enemy based on Strength or Intellect (whichever is higher). Can be upgraded with three talents from the Punisher's Path set.
  • 367.png Sign of Frailty III: +9 Strength. If the hero has the Punisher's Path talent, it will reduce the target enemy's Stamina by 18 for 4 seconds when used. This effect is applied before the damage from the Punisher’s Path talent, which results in greater damage to the target.
  • 368.png Sign of Bane III: +9 Intellect. If the hero has the Punisher's Path talent, it will reduce the target enemy's Will by 18 for 4 seconds when used. This effect is applied before the damage from the Punisher's Path talent, which results in greater damage to the target.
  • 369.png Sign of Guile V: +6.5 Strength or Intellect (whichever is higher). +10 Cunning. If the hero has the Punisher's Path talent, it will stun the target for 0.6 seconds when used.
  • 370.png Sign of Cruelty VI: +22.5 Strength or Intellect (whichever is higher). If the hero has the Punisher's Path talent, it will inflict an additional 140 damage on the target when used. The type of damage inflicted will depend on the primary type of damage caused by the Punisher's Path talent.
  • 371.png Sign of Fracture VI: +13 Strength or Intellect (whichever is higher). +250 Health. If the hero has the Punisher's Path talent, it will damage the closest enemy standing behind the target. All effects from the Punisher's Path talent are 50% less effective against the second target compared to the first.

Bond of Origin Set[edit | edit source]

  • 353.png Bond of Origin V: Cooldown 120 sec. Takes 0.5 seconds to cast, after which an area is created within which the Strength and the Intellect of all enemies is decreased by 45. Bond of Origin can be upgraded with three talents from the Bond of Origin set.
  • 372.png Bond of Purity I: +108 Health. If the hero has the Bond of Origin talent, all positive effects are removed from enemies in the spell's target area, but it takes 0.5 seconds longer to cast.
  • 373.png Bond of Blindness IV: +5.6 Stamina or Will (whichever is higher). +5.6 Agility or Cunning (whichever is higher). If the hero has the Bond of Origin talent, the enemies in the spell's target area are blinded, but the spell takes 1.5 seconds longer to cast.

  • 375.png Bond of Frailty VI: +11 Stamina or Will (whichever is higher). +12 Strength. If the hero has the Bond of Origin talent, the Stamina of the enemies located in the designated area is decreased by 20.
  • 376.png Bond of Doubt VI: +11 Stamina or Will (whichever is higher). +12 Intellect. If the hero has the Bond of Origin talent, the Will of the enemies within the target area is decreased by 20.

Legendary Talent Sets[edit | edit source]

Legendary talents are the highest, and rarest, tier of talents available in the game. These talents are marked with the color red and can only be used by heroes of level 25 or higher. Just like exclusive talents, legendary talents are arranged in thematic sets with several subsets. Each subset features a unique passive or active effect for one of its talents (in a similar way to the exclusive Dark Legacy set).

To obtain legendary talents you need to pay 10 LegendaryCrystal20x20.png Legendary Crystals to reforge 3 orange talents at the Imperium logo.pngTalent Forge or the Keeper logo.pngTalent Garden or you can purchase them at The Fair. Reforging one legendary talent into another legendary talent costs 8 LegendaryCrystal20x20.png Legendary Crystals.

Subsets[edit | edit source]

  • Way of the Dragon : If you complete this set, when the hero dies he will turn into a dragonling. If after 5 seconds the dragonling is still alive, the hero is reborn with 900 Health and all enemies get a random control effect. Ability cooldown: 180 seconds.
  • Curse of Terror : If you complete this set, the talent Terrifying Zeal becomes an activated ability. When activated, it deals 600 EnergyDamage.png damage over 4 seconds to a random enemy hero. Ability cooldown: 80 seconds.
  • Unstable Defense : If you complete this set, the hero has a 35% chance every second of ignoring 54 damage from an enemy’s attacks or talents. The enemy’s speed is also reduced by 20% for 2 seconds.
  • Indomitable Rejoicing : If you complete this set, the talent Triumph of the Unbroken becomes an activated ability. When used, the effect spreads to 5 random nearby enemies. Allies recover 250 Health and lose all negative effects. Enemies take 250 damage and lose all positive effects. Ability cooldown: 120 seconds.
  • Blind Seer : If you complete this set, the talent Pernicious Influence becomes an activated ability. When used, the hero throws 5 daggers at the nearest enemies, but no more than 3 per target. Each dagger deals 180 EnergyDamage.png damage. Ability cooldown: 120 seconds.
  • Blind Seer : If you complete this set, the talent Power of the Seer becomes an activated ability. Reveals the position of a random invisible enemy hero on the map and prevents him from becoming invisible again for 8 seconds. Talent cooldown: 80 seconds.
